1. What Jeevigo is — and what it is not

Jeevigo is a discovery and listing platform. We help students and residents in Ramapuram, Chennai, Tamil Nadu, India find paying-guest (PG) accommodation, hostels, tiffin and mess services, vehicle rental and other local services offered by independent third parties.

Jeevigo does not own, operate, manage, let out or control any PG, hostel, kitchen, vehicle or service listed on the platform. We are not a landlord, letting agent, broker, food business operator or transport operator. Any agreement you enter into is directly between you and the provider, and we are not a party to it.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old and legally able to enter into a contract under the Indian Contract Act, 1872. If you are under 18, you may use Jeevigo only with the involvement of a parent or guardian, who accepts these terms on your behalf.

3. Verification — what it does and does not mean

Some listings are marked as verified with a date. A verification means a member of our team visited the place on that date and recorded what was visible to them — such as the room, stated rent, room type and facilities. It is a good-faith snapshot, not a certification.

Verification specifically does not mean that we have:

• confirmed the provider's legal title, ownership or right to let the premises;
• inspected structural, electrical, fire or food safety compliance;
• checked licences, registrations or statutory approvals;
• guaranteed that price, availability or facilities remain unchanged after the visit.

You are responsible for satisfying yourself about any provider before paying money or signing anything. Visit in person, read the agreement, and ask for proof of ownership or authority to let.

4. Payments

Jeevigo does not currently collect, process or hold any payment, deposit, rent, advance or brokerage. All money passes directly between you and the provider. We are not responsible for any payment you make, and we cannot recover it for you. Never pay anyone claiming to collect money on Jeevigo's behalf — we will not ask you to.

5. Listings and accuracy

Listing information is supplied by providers or recorded during a visit, and can change without notice. Rent, deposit, availability, menus, rates and facilities shown on Jeevigo are indicative. We make reasonable efforts to keep listings current but do not warrant that any listing is accurate, complete or available at the time you see it.

6. Your responsibilities as a user

• Give accurate information when you contact us or a provider.
• Use Jeevigo only for genuine, lawful accommodation and service enquiries.
• Do not scrape, copy, resell or systematically extract listings or content.
• Do not post or send unlawful, misleading, abusive, obscene or infringing content.
• Do not impersonate anyone or misrepresent your association with a provider.
• Do not attempt to disrupt, probe or gain unauthorised access to the platform.

7. Terms for providers and vendors

If you list a PG, mess, rental or other service on Jeevigo, you also agree that you:

• have the legal right and authority to offer what you list, including ownership of, or written permission to let, the premises;
• hold all licences, registrations and approvals your activity requires under law, including food safety and vehicle registration where applicable;
• will keep price, deposit, availability and facility information accurate and tell us promptly when it changes;
• will not discriminate against any person on grounds prohibited by law;
• own or are licensed to use every photograph and description you supply, and grant us a non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to display them on Jeevigo and in related promotion;
• will handle any personal data we pass to you lawfully, and use it only to respond to that enquiry.

We may edit, decline, suspend or remove any listing at our discretion — in particular where it appears inaccurate, unlawful or unsafe.

8. Intermediary status

Jeevigo is an intermediary under the Information Technology Act, 2000. We host information provided by third parties and do not initiate or select the receiver of most such transmissions. We follow the takedown and grievance process set out in our Grievance Redressal policy.

9. Intellectual property

The Jeevigo name, logo, design, text and software are owned by us or our licensors. You may not copy, adapt or reuse them without written permission. Provider names and marks belong to their respective owners.

10. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Jeevigo is not liable for any loss or damage arising from: a provider's acts, omissions, conduct or the condition of their premises, food or vehicles; any agreement, payment or dispute between you and a provider; inaccurate listing information; or interruption of the platform.

Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot be excluded under Indian law, including for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, or for fraud.

11. Indemnity

You agree to indemnify Jeevigo against claims, losses and reasonable legal costs arising from your breach of these terms, your misuse of the platform, or — if you are a provider — from the service you offer.

12. Suspension

We may suspend or withdraw access to Jeevigo, in whole or in part, at any time, including where we reasonably believe these terms have been breached.

13. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. The effective date at the top of this page shows when they last changed, and continued use after that date means you accept the revised terms. Please check back periodically.

14. Governing law and jurisdiction

These terms are governed by the laws of India. The courts at Chennai, Tamil Nadu have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute arising from them.
